It was really hard work to get it back to life again. It got even worse on the way back home. The last 30km we had to stop every 6 or 7 km to let the engine cool down and free up the piston.

At home a look at the bores made my heart sink. The left piston looked like the Grand Canyon. The right side had no damage at all.

After some back and forth thinking, I decided to use the old pistons as long as I found out the reason for the problems.
